Ms. Tra – Managing Director
Hi everyone, I am Tra, just call me simply Tra. I graduated from Hotel Managing faculty of Hanoi Open University in 2002 but have been working as a tour operator since then. I love being a tour operator and travel consultant as it helps me travelling to many places, knowing many people and I can share my experiences with other travellers by arranging the best trips for them. In my free time, I go shopping and cook for my husband. We are saving money and hope we could visit Europe and US one day!
Ms. Phuong – Sales Manager
Hello! My name is Duong Hong Phuong. I finished my studies at the Hanoi Open University in the faculty of Tourism in mid-2002. I then worked for two high-reputed tour companies before joining Travel East. I’m really happy with my present job as I like dealing with my customers through email and meeting them in person (when they get to Vietnam) as I can learn a lot from them, from their culture, their thoughts and many things like that – and I make new friends, too!
I like reading, rock music, pets and many other things. I’m not really interested in cooking and doing the housework. I hate ants – they always disturb me!
I met Hao, my husband, in a ‘Chat Room’ on the Internet. We share a liking for Rock music. We have a beautiful little daughter. She is 4 and can speak some easy English. If you call me and having a child’s voice answered, that’s my daughter!! Sorry but she always wants to talk with foreigners to practice her English!
I love Vietnam and its peace. I have visited most of countries in the Southeast Asia and learnt a lot about tourism, different cultures and the lifestyles of local people abroad. It will help me to be successful in my job, I believe!
Ms. Quyen – Senior Tour Operator
Hi, My name is Quyen, full name is Truong Hong Quyen. In Vietnamese, my name is one precious kind of flower but I usually having clients called me Queen. I’m very happy with this so please do not worry if you misspelling my name.
I graduated from National University, Foreign Language Colleague, English department and had nearly 10-year working experience in the tourism fields. I joined Travel East from the very first days and so far, I am very happy with my work.
Not like Phuong, I love cooking and doing the housework. I also love traveling, shopping and especially parties. That is why I’m being called the ‘Party Lady’. I married and have a beautiful 3-year old daughter, whose has a nickname as ‘Vodka’, one of my favorite alcohols. J Let’s start the trip with us and see you soon in Vietnam!
Ms. Thu – Tour Operator
Hi! My name is Thu, which means autumn in English. My mother gave me this name as I was born in the autumn, in September. I joined Travel East right after I graduated from Hanoi University, English department in mid 2008 and I’m enjoying working with Tra and the team very much.
I’m the person who won many prizes in our company. I’m the tallest and the biggest (in kilos) in the team. I’m the youngest and the most talkative one as well. I’m also the only single in the company, that’s why, I was sent to most of the inbound and outbound inspections. Luckily, traveling is one of my biggest passions so I’m really happy with this. Ms. Oanh – Chief Accountant
Hello! I’m Oanh, not easy to pronounce for foreigners. My main job is looking after the money and keeping the tax office happy - not an easy task in Vietnam! Like other members in the company, I love traveling but I tend to beach and leisure travels rather than exploring off-beaten tracks. I’m the quietest in the company, hence, I was given a table in quiet area in the room. I got married some months ago and we are expecting a baby!
