The next stop in our trip was Oudomxay. Actually, we did not have any experience in Oudomxai and the place is not really interesting for visitor. Maybe it’s a pit stop along the way from Luang Namtha to Pakbeng only. The next morning was spent to inspect some hotels in town, however, none was selected for our clients. The last trip to Laos has left us some unforgettable about Laos, its people, culture as well as landscape and we always want to return to this beautiful and friendly country. The chance has come one year later when we had an invitation from Laos Administration of Tourism to inspect the caves city of Vieng Xay.  Laos, officially ‘the Lao People’s Democratic Republic’, is a landlocked nation in Southeast Asia occupying the northwest portion of the Indochina’s peninsula. Laos is sharing borderlines with China and Myanmar (Northwest), Vietnam (East), Cambodia (South) and Thailand (West). Laos is a mountainous country, especially in the north, where peaks rise above 9,000 ft (2,800 m). Laos has a long history with the proud Kingdom of Lan Xang (Land or Million Elephants), which last form the 14th century to the 18th century.
