To transport animals, passengers must make prior arrangement with Vietnam Airlines. Each airlines has its own rules govering the transport of animals. Different airlines also charge different fees, depending on the pets' weight and the number of animals.
Vietnam Airlines accepts live pets on board once the owner has made prior arrangement with Vietnam Airlines and has booking confirmation to the place of departure to the final destination. The arrangement must meet all of the regulations listed in Vietnam Airlines' Cargo Operations Munual and the IATA Live Animals Regulations. These regulations outline specific descriptions of the animals' container, related documents, labels and services notices.
To ship an animal from one country to the another, apart from the above requirements, pet owners must also follow animal quarantine procedures. The declaration and fullfilment of quarantine procedures must be done 10 days (excluding holidays and weekends) before departure.
Each Vietnam Airlines' cargo compartment has a different temperature and, as such, does not accept live animals that require a constant temperature throughout the flight.
Passengers ca be assured that their pets will be totally safe on Vietnam Airlines's flights.
