Day 1: Siem Reap (DP, G)
Arriving at Siem Reap airport, you’ll be met and driven to your hotel. In the afternoon, you’ll explore Angkor Wat itself, the largest, and for most people, the most impressive temple in the complex. As dusk nears, a walk to the summit of Phnom Bakheng Hill will afford a panorama of the whole complex lit by the rays of the setting sun, weather permitting of course. You’ll overnight accommodation will be in Siem Reap.
Day 2: Siem Reap (B, L, G)
After breakfast, you’ll begin with a visit to Angkor Thom, starting with the Bayon. You’ll then visit Ta Prohm, strangled by massive tree roots and typical of the condition of the whole complex when it was discovered in 1860 by French naturalist Henri Mouhot, and Neak Pean, a Himalayan-style lake and sanctuary.
Day 3: Siem Reap/Beng Mealea/Siem Reap (B, L, G)
After breakfast, your guide and driver will drive you 50km through the countryside, the rice fields alongside the Kulen Mountain range to Beng Mealea Temple complex. Beng Mealea is almost the size of Angkor Wat and is one of the largest ensembles build during Khmer reign and still seldom visited. You’ll have a picnic lunch and drive back to Siem Reap in the afternoon. Return with a stop by at one more famous temple of Bantey Srey “the Citadel of Women”. This small pink sandstone temple (late 10th century) is considered as the crown jewel of classical Khmer art with the delicate beauty of its carvings. You’ll overnight at your hotel in Siem Reap. |

Day 4: Siem Reap – Tonle Sap Cruise (B, L, G)
After breakfast at your hotel, you will be transferred to boat pier to Great Lake, visit floating village and to board the Tom Tev Boat. You will start the journey across the great lake, heading Kompong Loung and visit Kompong Loung village where you will spend the night. |

Day 5: Tonle Sap Cruise (B, L, G)
After breakfast, you will navigate to Kompong Chnnang and disembake in Kompong Chnnang for a short tour around the town. You will then cruise to Kompong Tralach and stop en-route to visit an old pagoda in Kompong Tralach. You will spend the night in Koh Chen.
Day 6: Tonle Sap Cruise – Phnom Penh (B, L, G)
This morning, you will visit Silver ware production village, Koh Chen and Oudong, former capital of Cambodia before continue the navigation to Phnom Penh. After disembarking in Phnom Penh, you will be transferred to the hotel for check in. After a short rest, you will visit National Museum and Silver Pagoda. You will spend the night in Phnom Penh. |

Day 7: Phnom Penh (B, L, G)
This morning, you will head toward to Takeo province along national road number 2 to visit Tonle Bati, which is the home to two 12th century temples Ta Prohm and Prasat Yeay Peo built close to Bati Lake by King Jayavarman 7. Lunch will be at Tonle Bati.
After lunch, you will continue the tour to Phnom Chiso. It is a hill top with many building from different eras including the temple of Suryagiri from 11th century. On the way back, you will visit Prasat Neang Khmau. You will spend the night in Phnom Penh.
Day 8: Phnom Penh departure (B, GP)
Free time until transferred to the airport for departure flight. Tour ends. |
