Pick up at your hotel, you will start your cycling day to discover Vientiane and its different sides. You will follow the Mekong river and pedal through dirt roads to explore the scenic villages with pile dwellings lined with palm- and wild banana trees. En-route, you will face heeps of twinkling temples. If in the right season, you will have opportunities to see the Mekong sandbanks on which fishermen dwell with their bamboo-supported nets.
After that, you will back to the centre and bike along the sleepy residences of the former colonial rulers and dive into alleyways rarely visited by foreigners. It’s not the biking itself we are after, it’s the various forms and scenes of Lao life. You will come across in markets and on schoolyards, the laughing faces and the daily business in it’s full and simple glory. You will also visit some other highlights like the That Dam, the Laotian Arc de Triomphe (Phatuxia) and the Sok Paluang temple. Back to your hotel in the late afternoon and say goodbye to your local guide. We sure you will have a memorable tour through one of the most relaxing capital of the world!
