8-day tour visiting Mae Sot, Mae Sariang, Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Sukhothai

Day 1: Bangkok/Mae Sot (L, D, G)
A morning drive will take you to Mae Sot with a few stops on the way. On arrival, you will visit the border market between Thailand and Burma where you can enjoy the nice atmosphere and afterwards we will take you to a large lying white Buddha. Your overnight accommodation will be in Mae Sot.
Day 2: Mae Sot/Mae Sariang (B, L, D, G)
After an early breakfast, you will drive along the Burmese border before we enter the Wat Don Kaew temple, which hosts a large granite Buddha. After that, you will head out to the Nam Tok Mae Kase Waterfall. The next stop is Tham Mae Usu lime stone caves, which you will explore if the water level in the river allows it. After check in the hotel, you will have free time for a swim and relax at the Mae Um Lung hot springs. You will spend the night in Mae Sariang.
Day 3: Mae Sariang (B, L, D, G)
This morning, you will be driven to Salawin River which is in between Thailand and Burma. Here, you will see green jungle on both sides and steep cliffs rises in the horizon. You will also visit a small local village with just 5 bamboo huts, and take a walk in the jungle leading to a small waterfall. On the way back, you will visit a little bigger village where you will have lunch.
In the afternoon, you will visit 4 local temples, visiting all 4 means good luck. Dinner and overnight accommodation will be in your hotel.
    
Day 4: Mae Sariang/Mae Hong Son (B, L, D, G)
The today's drive will take you through some of the most beautiful nature in Thailand and the
landscape changes drastically along the way. On the way to Mae Hong Son, you will stop to see the mountain village Khun Yuam. After arriving at our hotel in Mae Hong Son, you will go for the elephant camp for some elephant riding in the area near the river Pai. The dinner will be in a cheerful atmosphere with romantic live music. You will spend the night in Mae Hong Son.
Day 5: Mae Hong Son (B, L, D, G)
Today's program is sightseeing around the beautiful postcard-like town, Mae Hong Son. You will visit the local Longnecks and the fish cave in the forest park called Thamblah. You will then continue to Mae Aw which is located on a mountain top near the Burmese border. The next stop will be at a Coffee plantation and after a short walk you will reach a huge lake. This is the area called ‘Switzerland of Thailand' where you can enjoy the tranquil area with green mountains. On the way back, you will stop at a mud spa situated at a natural hot spring. Here you will have a mud facial mask treat and take a swim in the hot spring. Your overnight accommodation will be in Mae Hong Son.
Day 6: Mae Hong Son/Pai/Chiang Mai (B, L, D, G)
After an early breakfast, you will head out to Chiang Mai. Arriving in Pai at around noon, you will have lunch in a local restaurant. After that, you will visit a huge Lime stone cave (1600 meters in depth) one of the biggest in Thailand. Afterwards we'll go back to Pai, which is situated in a beautiful green valley surrounded by hot springs, rice fields and a quiet river and then continue driving to Chiang Mai. You will spend the night in Chiang Mai.
Day 7: Chiang Mai (B, L, D, G)
After breakfast, you will drive to Doi Inthanon, which is the highest mountain in Thailand (2.565 meters); the scenery once again is stunning. On the way to Doi Inthanon, you will stop at 2 temples dedicated to the living king and queen. The temples are built in Burmese style and are respectively 60 meters and 55 meters high. The rest of the day will be free. You will spend the night in Chiang Mai.
Day 8: Chiang Mai/Sukhothai/Bangkok (B, L, G)
After having breakfast, you will visit Maesa Elephant Centre, where it's possible to see the elephants play football, paint paintings and perform tricks. After the show, you will be driven to the airport for your flight back to Bangkok. The rest of the day in Bangkok will be free. You will spend the night in a hotel.
Day 9: Bangkok departure (B, GP)
Free time until transferred to the airport for departure flight. Tour ends.
