Thailand Excursions  »Chiang Mai in Glimpse 3 Days

Chiang Mai is the capital of the north of Thailand and the region’s most important town. Ideally situated at the crossroads of northern Southeast Asia, Chiang Mai is a bustling transport center. It is also a great place to hang out in its own right, and an ideal spot from which to launch a trip into the surrounding region to see the hill tribes. This 3-day excursion to Chiang Mai will offer you a glimpse look in its different hill tribes, historical sites and an soft adventure for those who love the outdoor activities.

Day 1: Bangkok/Chiang Mai/Phra That Doi Suthep (D, G)
Upon arrival at Chiang Mai airport, you will be met and transferred to hotel. After a short rest, you will enjoy with a quaint and picturesque Meo Hill Tribe Village set in an attractive hillside spot and see the Meo tribesmen dressed in their colorful traditional costumes. After that, you will visit Doi Suthep Temple where is one of the most sacred temples in Chiangmai - Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep, located on hilltop in Northern-Thai style and containing holy relic of Lord Buddha and enjoy seeing panoramic view of the whole city. The rest of the day will be free at leisure. You will spend the night Chiang Mai.
Day 2: Full Day Elephant Safari Tour (B, L, G)
Breakfast at hotel, you will embark to the Elephants Camp to see the elephants at work in a jungle area, see how the elephants are train for working with human and the elephant shows. Then, you will be an exciting ride on the elephant ride along the trails, and followed by Ox-Cart ride back to the camp. Lunch will be at the elephant camp. Afternoon, you will enjoy with local handicraft bamboo rafting along Mae Taeng river. On the way back to hotel, you will have a short stop at Orchid Nursery. You will overnight in Chiang Mai.          
Day 3: Chiang Mai/Bangkok departure (B, GP)
Free time until transferred to the airport for your departure flight. Tour ends.
